The queue for the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUV stretches for four years

The line for the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in Japan stretched for four years. So far, such a long wait applies only to the most expensive versions of the SUV, but in general, everyone will have to wait.

As the Japanese edition BestCarWeb clarifies, the reasons for such a queue were the aggravated shortage of electronic components and the rush demand for the new product. In just two weeks since the start of accepting orders in Japan, dealers have collected about 20 thousand applications, although the original plan provided for the sale of no more than 5 thousand cars a year.

The overwhelming majority of pre-orders - about 90% - are for the most expensive configurations (ZX and GR Sport), costing from 7.7 to 8 million yen, or 5.13-5.33 million rubles at the current exchange rate. "Three hundred" cars with a diesel engine are chosen by only 40% of customers.

By the way, Toyota Land Cruiser 300 has been on sale in Russia since July 22, but its top version GR Sport appeared only on September 1. A variant with an original appearance, sporty accents in the interior and a retuned suspension costs at least 7,620,000 rubles with a diesel engine and 7,684,000 with a gasoline engine.
