KamAZ will launch production of the Kama-1 electric vehicle no earlier than 2024

 

Electric smart crossover "Kama-1", created by KamAZ together with scientists from St. Petersburg State University. Peter the Great, will go "into series" no earlier than 2024. Such a period, taking into account all the necessary tests, was indicated to Rossiyskaya Gazeta by the head of the press service of KamAZ, Oleg Afanasyev.

“Preliminarily, taking into account the entire test cycle, not earlier than 2024,” said Oleg Afanasyev.

According to him, by the end of 2021 and in 2022, the enterprise will conduct a whole cycle of tests of an electric vehicle, including strength, high-speed and certification tests, which are necessary to obtain a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS), as well as an official permit for production and sale. models.




Recall that the premiere of the pre-production prototype of the electric smart crossover "Kama-1" took place on December 10, 2020  at the VUZPROMEXPO-2020 exhibition in Moscow.

The three-door electric car 3.4 meters long, 1.7 meters wide and 1.6 meters high is equipped with an 80-kilowatt electric motor capable of accelerating the car to 60 km / h in just three seconds and accelerating it to 150 km / h. The power supply is provided by a compact lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 33 kilowatt-hours, which can be fully charged in normal mode in six hours and in accelerated mode in just 20 minutes. The maximum power reserve on a single charge reaches 250 kilometers, writes " Profile ".

Previously, it was assumed that the approximate cost of a novelty after the release "in the series" will be 1.2 - 1.4 million rubles with sales of about 20 thousand copies per year. With smaller circulations, the price tag is likely to be higher.
